What a six-stem split gives you

Each output focuses on one part of the mixed song. Bring the aligned files into an editor to audition, mute, balance, study, or arrange them separately.

Six aligned outputs

Receive Vocals, Drums, Bass, Other, Guitar, and Piano tracks from one successful separation.

Use uploads or library songs

Start with supported audio you are allowed to process or a completed song already in your Soundful AI library.

Results that need listening

A stem can contain bleed, artifacts, or very little audio when that instrument is faint or absent from the source mix.

From a mixed song to separate parts

  1. 1. Choose the source

Upload supported audio or select a completed library song you have the right to process.

  2. 2. Run the six-track split

The separation task prepares Vocals, Drums, Bass, Other, Guitar, and Piano outputs.

  3. 3. Review every track

Listen for bleed, missing parts, and artifacts before moving the files into a DAW or another edit.

Stem Splitter questions

How many tracks does Stem Splitter create?

Each successful separation creates six tracks: Vocals, Drums, Bass, Other, Guitar, and Piano.

Why might one output sound quiet or empty?

A stem can only contain what is present in the source mix. A missing or faint instrument group may produce a silent or very quiet file.

Can I use the stems in a DAW?

Yes. Import the aligned files into a DAW, then check their timing and sound before balancing or editing them.

Is Stem Splitter available on the Free Plan?

No. Stem Splitter is available to eligible paid users and uses the current plan allowance shown on the Pricing page.
